October Favourites

In this version I am going to be putting September favourites and October favourites together!

1. McVities Digestive Nibbles – Milk Caramel

I have always loved digestive biscuits but I can find them a bit filling but now… I can munch all day on the nibble version.

2. Adidas Jacket

I wanted one of these for a while and now, I have one! They are great in the cold or the heat, the rain or the sun, windy or not windy.

3. Wilkinson’s Bath Bombs

I know this one sounds a bit weird but if you are looking for a cheap bath bomb try these ones. I would advise the blue ones though as they fizz more.

4. Along Comes Betty – Moisturizer

Be careful not to leave this in the sun as it turns into a  yoghurt-like consistency but apart from that it smells like peaches and is good.

Pumpkin Carving

I have never done pumpkin carving before in my life so I thought I would try it!

This was my attempt:

Happy Halloween!

Scary Halloween Buns

Need something to tuck into on Halloween? Try these…

Ingredients:

  • 110g Unsalted Butter
  • 110g Caster Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • 110g Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp of Baking Powder

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180C and line a 12 hole muffin tin.
  • Cream the butter and the sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Whisk the eggs until they are bubbly.
  • Slowly – while mixing – add the eggs and the flour gradually.
  • Put the mixture into the tin and bake for around 10-15 mins until a skewer or fork comes out clean.

Decoration – for the mummy cakes:

  • Make sure your cakes are flat on top, you may need to shave the top off to make them flat.
  • Roll out some white fondant icing next to some black fondant icing (also rolled out.)
  • Cut the black and the white into strips.
  • Put one black strip in the middle of the cake then layer the white strips on top.
  • For the eyes, make tiny round white circles and put 2 even smaller black circles on top.
  • Place the eyes onto the black strip of icing and that is the mummy cakes done!

Decoration – for the spider web cakes:

  • Make sure your cakes are flat on top, you may need to shave the top off to make them flat.
  • Roll out some green and black fondant icing.
  • Cut the green icing into circles (big enough to cover the top of the cake.) Place the green circles on to the top of the cake.
  • Now cut the black icing into very thin strips and copy the picture of the cakes above!

Happy Halloween!
